The old Classic Movie "Them" was my first introduction to science fiction. After trembling in fear of the larger-than-life ants that I was certain were hiding in silence behind every closet door, I had practically given up on the notion of good science fiction.

Then I was introduced to Star Wars and a myriad of other "true" classics in this genre.  Science-fiction had at last been redeemed from the giant-complex-eyed-mutated-people-eating ants I remembered!  I loved discovering new TV shows and movies.  I also love reading. So, I began picking up science fiction stories in all different sub-genres as well and savoring the magic of it all.

I have always enjoyed writing--everything from music and poetry to thank-you notes and love letters.  Writing is really just a permanent expression of the soul for me.

In 2012, I began work on my first novel--The Silent Rhymes of a Snowflake.  It is designed to be the first in a series of science-fiction stories chronicling the inhabitants of the planets of the Second Galaxy and their pursuit of truth and justice.

In 2015, I began work on a very different type of story--an allegory.  This genre is favored by me as I have long been enthralled with the works of C.S. Lewis and others like him who manage to weave two stories at once.  It has been a big undertaking and I hope I have done justice to the category.  Mercy for the Serpent is a story of violence and redemption as Phinehas journeys through a lifelong struggle of guilt and forgiveness following a crime on the jungle planet Trelisor.  It has been nothing short of incredible to think through the story and put it on paper.  I hope you'll read it and let me know what you think.

It has been said that reading brings you into "the Great Conversation", and this project is just an enjoyable attempt to be a voice there.
